This is where I lived when I came up with the concept for Kinky Kontrol. We were a small label and bedroom production studio. Our apartment was tucked in the burbs by a couple of parks. We partied in those parks. We had a Lawson on the corner and a neighborhood family takoyaki stand a block over that made the best burnt balls. They would make these bad boys super dark and crispy. Nobody did them like that. We rode around town on grandma bikes. The long and short of the company name: This apartment was in a region called [K]inki. In a bedroom in this region, I hoarded midi gear and [K]ontrollers. There, we made ridiculous music and video. Creatively, I was in high gear. And that’s it. Kinky Kontrol. Where magic happened. And continues to carry out that tradition in constantly cycling new ways. These shirts are printed on Alternative Vintage Keepers Ts. It’s crazy cotton. Loose and soft.
